Hi, I'm Angela Melling, a Weybridge photographer specialising in people: portraits, weddings, child photography, business headshots, PR images and corporate and social events. I work throughout Surrey, and further afield on occasion.

My approach with clients is to give just enough direction for you to feel that everything is under control, yet still enabling you to feel relaxed, resulting in natural portraits that reflect the real you in front of the camera. I am also fortunate to have the expertise to help me craft your images in post-production, striking that fine balance between what is, and what you want the world to see.

Each commission is approached on an individual basis to ascertain the client's needs and I aim to deliver the required volume of high quality images, rather than a large quantity of mediocre ones.

The usual format of a commission begins with a discussion as to what you would like to achieve followed by the shoot itself. Within the 48 hours of the shoot I will have a password-protected gallery of your unprocessed images online for viewing. For online wedding galleries, please allow 5 working days.

Once you have made your selections, these will be processed and again uploaded for online viewing to ensure that you are happy with the results.

Following on from your feedback, any adjustments that you require will be made and your disc or print products will be despatched to you as quickly as possible.

I was previously a corporate accountant until 2005, when I decided it was time for a change of career towards something suiting both my eye for detail, and the desire to pursue a more artistic direction.

Beginning with evening classes to get to grips with the technical elements of photography, I then turned my attention to landscapes, winning a place to exhibit in the Surrey Open Art Competition at the Lightbox in 2008, followed by a week long exhibition with fellow photographer, Philip Banfield, at Denbies in 2009. Around this time I was also dabbling with street photography to hone my observational skills, which has proved a good training ground for candid wedding and event coverage.
